On one side of the coin I enjoy the subjective nature of art and the infinite possibilities of interpreting a work of prose and on the other I need testable theories and data. It is a constant battle. That being said, I have come to find that the former is enhanced by the latter and vice versa, this makes for an interesting debate in my mind. I suppose that it only seems fitting to appease my ‘dilemma’ by deciding to pursue the wonderful worlds of both Anthropology and English (although Anthropology could take English in a barroom brawl any day) =).
